Golden Solar's (Jiuquan Base) 4.8GW High-Efficiency HJT Cell Line Successfully Put into Production

On April 23, 2023, the 4.8GW high-efficiency heterojunction cell and module production project (hereinafter referred to as the "project") of Golden Solar (Jiuquan Base) completed the first line, and the first batch of 210 half-cut bifacial microcrystalline heterojunction cells has successfully rolled off the production line at the Jiuquan production base, with conversion efficiency exceeding 25.0%.




The first line of this project's completion indicates the official commencement of mass production of the photovoltaic industry's first GW-level 210 half-cut bifacial microcrystalline heterojunction cell production base. This development marks the beginning of a new era for China's solar cell industrialization.



Currently, the production line is capable of achieving a 25% mass production conversion efficiency of 210 half-cut bifacial microcrystalline heterojunction cells. This project has set new records in terms of production speed and the efficiency of the first cell, which has been widely praised by industry experts and the market. Going forward, the company aims to use technology to enable industrial development. While striving to grow stronger and bigger, it will also lead as the "chain owner" of Gansu's photovoltaic industry chain and make significant contributions to the province's construction of a 100-billion-level photovoltaic industry cluster.




Gansu Golden Solar's high-efficiency heterojunction cell and module production project is situated in the Jiuquan Economic and Technological Development Zone. It covers an area of approximately 800 acres and has a total investment of 4.191 billion yuan. The first phase of the project has a designed production capacity of 4.8 GW. This project uses the latest double-sided microcrystal mass production heterogeneous junction cell production line, making it the largest HJT cell factory in the industry.
