On April 12th, Golden Solar was honored to receive a visit from Mr. Zamani Letjane, the founder of both Akani Energy Limited and Akani Retirement Fund Management Company. The purpose of his visit was to conduct an in-depth survey on Golden Solar's industrial layout and production operations, as well as to discuss potential cross-border collaborations.
Accompanied by Mr. Lu Weiliang, President of the Southern Africa Shunde Chamber of Commerce, and Ms. Nthabeleng Motsohi, Group Manager of Akani Retirement Fund Management Company, Mr. Letjane was welcomed by senior executives of Golden Solar, including Chief Advisor Chen Hua, Chairman Li Xuefeng, Vice President Song Ye, and Sales Director Qi Feng.
The visit began with a tour of the company’s high-efficiency heterojunction photovoltaic innovation exhibition hall, where Mr. Letjane gained comprehensive insights into Golden Solar's development history, business scope, HJT technology, corporate culture, and project cases through on-site observations, presentations, and detailed exchanges.
Subsequently, Mr. Letjane proceeded to the heterojunction smart manufacturing workshop to witness the production processes of heterojunction cells and modules. He closely observed each step of the process, particularly the core procedure involving the deposition of intrinsic amorphous silicon layers and double-sided microcrystalline layers using PECVD technology after the N-type monocrystalline silicon wafers undergo texturing cleaning. Mr. Letjane engaged in thorough discussions with Golden Solar technicians regarding details such as conversion efficiency, yield rate, module power output, and energy-saving measures implemented during production.
Impressed by the high level of professionalism and meticulousness displayed throughout the production process at Golden Solar, Mr. Letjane expressed his admiration: "This intelligent production facility and scientific management approach have given me a clear view of Golden Solar's profound expertise and robust capabilities in the field of photovoltaics, laying a solid foundation for our future collaboration."
During the meeting that followed, Chief Advisor Chen Hua warmly welcomed Mr. Letjane and provided a detailed introduction to Golden Solar's global strategic deployment and future development plans, emphasizing the company's determination and preliminary vision for expanding its presence in the African market. Sales Director Qi Feng highlighted: "South Africa, with its abundant solar resources, presents vast prospects for market development and is a critical battleground for global energy transformation. It also stands as one of the core markets for Golden Solar's globalization strategy. Leveraging our full industrial chain synergy advantages and cutting-edge HJT technology, we look forward to partnering with outstanding enterprises like Akani to overcome challenges posed by climate change and jointly advance towards a cleaner, more sustainable, and prosperous future."
Mr. Letjane shared his rich experience in the South African energy sector and deep understanding of local market demands, proposing: "We hope to collaborate with Golden Solar to develop photovoltaic solutions tailored specifically for the South African environment and needs, encompassing product customization and comprehensive project implementation."
Chairman Li Xuefeng concluded the event by stating that this exchange has laid a solid foundation for cooperation between the two parties. He looks forward to working together to build a new hub for renewable energy across Africa, driving regional economic growth while setting a new benchmark for cross-border industrial integration.
This visit not only deepened mutual understanding between the two companies but also opened up a new chapter for their future in-depth collaboration.
